Because our school age class is only present after school, on non-school days, and during school breaks, each day looks a little different.
On a normal school day, once arriving from school, the students will have a well-balanced snack. After snack time, they will be offered time to work on a teacher provided activity, opt to work on homework instead, or if time allows, do both.
After these activities, if weather permits, the children will go outside into our enclosed playground area for supervised playtime. This allows them to work their bodies, practice their coordination, and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. If weather doesn’t permit, we enjoy an indoor activity targeted at getting the children moving and exercising.
During school breaks and other non-school days, students are fed breakfast and lunch in addition to their afternoon snack.
During typical non-school days that are not part of school breaks, the children are engaged in extra activities that are brought out specifically for these days.
During scheduled school breaks, including winter break, spring break, and summer break, the classroom has a full curriculum that keeps your children’s minds fully engaged while allowing for the differences in learning level between the earliest Kindergartener and the student who is about to age out of the program.
We have an incredibly extensive summer program which includes field trips, parties, carnivals, reptile visits, and so much more!
Finally, while waiting for parents to pick them up, the kids will enjoy a variety of age appropriate group activities and activity stations to keep them engaged and learning. They’ll definitely be talking your ear off everyday with all they got to do.
All our meals are designed with the full day of activity in mind. We combine complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, proteins, dairy, grains, fruits and veggies for their physical and mental growth. From fresh blueberries to baby carrots in ranch and scrambled eggs to teriyaki chicken with rice and broccoli, you can be sure your child is eating a balanced, healthy and delicious meal.
