I began my journey with Kids Incorporated in 2012 as a high school student looking for an after-school job. Starting as an Aide 1, I’ve grown with the organization over the years, and since 2021, I’ve had the privilege of supervising all three of our locations. In my role, I manage staffing, training, and daily operations to ensure each center runs smoothly and continues to provide exceptional care. Outside of work, I’m a proud wife and mom to five wonderful children. I've always dreamed of having a big family, and my love for children drives both my personal and professional life. I’m passionate about supporting the next generation and creating environments where kids can thrive.

What makes Kids Inc better?
What started with helping her community in her home (and then a church) turned into Oregon’s best and most affordable childcare centers. Mistee, Kids Inc's founder, has always been the first person to lend a helping hand with a bright smile and she instilled this same giving attitude in her daughter, Taylor. Today, they are a family owned business, working together to offer the level of care they would want for their own children.
Kids Incorporated Learning Center fills the need for trustworthy and affordable childcare amidst soaring daycare costs and inflation. Partnered with the State of Oregon to provide affordable, or in many cases free, quality childcare for every Oregon family; their mission is to lessen the load of as many families as possible, and to let parents rest easy knowing their children are loved and cared for.
How It Started
All of our staff over 18 are enrolled in the Oregon Central Background Registry.
Every member of our staff is trained and up to date on on Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED training.
In addition to each center's director, the each location's staff consists primarily of accredited teachers. All additional staff have special, Oregon certified training in working with children. We require all staff, no matter their experience level, to take extensive training on the basics of childcare, keeping kids safe, training specific to childcare in Oregon, as well as extensive orientation courses that go over every detail of what it means to be a Kids Inc employee.
Within a specific timeframe, each member of our staff is required to reach Step 7 in the Oregon Registry, which is a cumulative 120 hours of childcare education across many vital subjects. All staff participate annually in a minimum of 18 clock hours of child care related training. Because we pay for all professional development hours for our staff, we encourage them to go above and beyond the 18 hours we require of them.
